ZEELCHEM™ OS-1 may be a high-performance hydrazine base oxygen scavenger which will be used as an immediate replacement for hydrazine.

ZEELCHEM™ OS-1 is scientifically formulated to supply outstanding protection from oxygen corrosion along side excellent feed water and boiler system passivation.

ZEELCHEM™ OS-1 is an organic corrosion inhibitor used for scavenging oxygen and passivating metal surfaces.

ZEELCHEM™ OS-1 is predicated on carbohydrazide and may be used as an immediate replacement for hydrazine in any boiler without the associated safety hazards and handling precautions.

ZEELCHEM™ OS-1 is predicated on volatile chemistry then contributes no dissolved solids and minimal ammonia to the boiler system.

ZEELCHEM™ OS-1 are often utilized in boilers of any pressure up to 220 barg, and may be fed into feed waters used for spray attemperation. ZEELCHEM™ OS-1 also can be used for wet disable of any boiler and non-drainable super heaters.

Important – Please note that ZEELCHEM™ OS-1 can’t be wont to treat boilers where steam produced will contact food or food products.

ZEELCHEM™ OS-1 could also be utilized in boilers where steam is employed within the manufacture of paper and paperboard which may be used for food contact purposes. it’s not regulated as a hazardous waste or toxic pollutant.

Application & Dosage Information

Total product dosage for ZEELCHEM™ OS-1 is based on the sum of the dissolved oxygen level (23.0 ppm product per ppm oxygen) and the required product residual (1.0 ppm product per ppm residual).

The residual range for ZEELCHEM™ OS-1 should be controlled between 0.8 and 1.2 ppm as the product. The test is a feed water control test and is not applicable to blow down samples.

Feed this product neat. Diluted solutions of the product may not be stable.

Feed ZEELCHEM™ OS-1 continuously. Any interruption in the feed will result in corrosion in the feed water system and possible tube failure in the boiler. To ensure consistent and adequate chemical feed, the pump speed should be set as high as possible and therefore the pump stroke should be set as short as possible.

ZEELCHEM™ OS-1 cannot be mixed with any other chemicals. Chemical additions to the formulation will result in extreme loss of oxygen-scavenging ability.
