Citric Acid overview
White crystalline citric acid with tight limits on heavy metals, iron, chloride, sulfate and oxalate. Used as an acidulant and preservative in food and beverages, a chelating and descaling agent in cleaning and RO maintenance, and in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and dyeing.

How Citric Acid works
Citric acid lowers pH and its three carboxylic groups and hydroxyl group chelate calcium, iron and other metal ions, dissolving scale and preventing metal-catalysed spoilage.
