Sodium Polyacrylate overview
The liquid grade is a neutralised polyacrylate used as a dispersant, sequestrant and detergent builder — it binds hardness ions and keeps pigments and fillers suspended without lowering pH.
The powder grade is a cross-linked super-absorbent that absorbs many times its own weight of water, used for gel formation, moisture control, agriculture and hygiene products.
How Sodium Polyacrylate works
In solution, the neutralised carboxylate groups bind calcium and magnesium and keep pigments or fillers dispersed. The cross-linked powder grade swells as water enters the polymer network, holding it as a gel.

Dosage and dosing point
Liquid: blend 0.5–3% into formulations or dose 1–10 mg/L as a dispersant. Powder: add gradually to water with stirring.
Compatibility
Liquid grade is pH-neutral and compatible with most surfactants and builders. Powder absorbency drops in salty water.

Handling, storage and safety
Low-hazard polymer. Avoid inhaling powder dust and avoid eye contact; wear a dust mask and goggles when handling powder. Powder becomes very slippery when wet — clean spills dry. Store sealed, dry and in shade.
