What is MA/AA copolymer?
MA/AA copolymer is a polycarboxylate made from maleic acid and acrylic acid. It combines HPMA's high-temperature stability with PAA's dispersancy, so it inhibits calcium carbonate and phosphate scale and disperses iron and silt in cooling water, boilers and central air-conditioning. Typical dose: 2–10 mg/L.

MA/AA copolymer overview
ZEELCHEM™ 3000 combines the high-temperature stability of maleic acid with the dispersancy of acrylic acid. The result is a polycarboxylate that controls calcium carbonate and calcium phosphate in alkaline, high-hardness water and keeps iron oxide and silt suspended.
It works especially well in synergy with organophosphates such as HEDP and ATMP and is also used as a chelating dispersant in textile weaving and dyeing.
How MA/AA copolymer works
Maleic units give strong calcium binding and thermal stability; acrylic units add chain flexibility and dispersancy. Together they distort carbonate and phosphate crystals and keep suspended solids from agglomerating.

Handling, storage and safety
Mildly acidic aqueous polymer solution: avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin contact; wear goggles and gloves. Store in closed HDPE containers, in shade, at 5–40 °C; protect from freezing. Not flammable. Use stainless steel, HDPE or PVC dosing equipment.
Shelf life: 12 months in sealed containers.
