What is PAPEMP?
PAPEMP (polyamino polyether methylene phosphonic acid) is a premium phosphonate with very high calcium tolerance. It inhibits calcium carbonate, sulfate, phosphate and silica scale in high-hardness, high-pH water and is used in high-cycle cooling towers, RO and multi-stage flash systems.

PAPEMP overview
PAPEMP has exceptional calcium tolerance and inhibits calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate and calcium phosphate, as well as silica scale. It also stabilises Zn, Mn and Fe ions in solution.
It is used in high-cycle cooling water, oilfield re-injection water, reverse osmosis and multi-stage flash systems, and as an EDTA/DTPA/NTA replacement in textile dyeing.
How PAPEMP works
A long polyether chain carrying phosphonate groups lets PAPEMP stay soluble and active at calcium levels where other phosphonates precipitate, and it stabilises zinc, manganese and iron ions.

Handling, storage and safety
Acidic liquid: causes eye and skin irritation. Wear chemical goggles, nitrile or PVC gloves and an apron; keep an eyewash nearby. Store in the original closed HDPE carboy, in shade, at 5–40 °C, away from strong alkalis and oxidisers. Do not store in mild-steel or aluminium containers. Rinse spills with plenty of water.
Shelf life: 24 months in sealed containers.
